FAQ

I’ve never done yoga before. Will this be too advanced for me?

Many of our participants that come to Maaa-maste Goat Yoga have never done yoga before. Our yoga instructor tailors the practice to accommodate beginners, while suggesting optional poses for experienced yogis looking for a challenge. Yoga is termed a “practice” because it is something that you do for yourself at a level that makes you feel comfortable, and only you determine how advanced you would like to take your practice.

Will the goats jump on me?

Possibly! For some, that is the fun part of goat yoga. These are baby goats and are small enough that it is unlikely you would be hurt. If you do not want them jumping on you, you can gently brush them away and they’ll be happy to move on to the next person.

Are there any detergents in your soaps?

No. We strive to use the best possible ingredients in our soaps. Most of the oils we use are certified organic and we rarely use fragrances, opting for therapeutic grade essential oils instead. There are no artificial colors used in our soaps; Only, clays, charcoal, titanium dioxide and micas are utilized to achieve the color and swirls in the soaps. We make soap the old fashioned way, using oils, lye, and fresh, raw goat milk from our farm. We cure our soaps for 4-6 weeks before selling them. You will not find any detergents, parabens, phthalates, sulphates or other harsh chemicals often found in store bought or lesser grade soaps.

Do you use palm oil in your soaps?

Although we are aware that there are reported sources of sustainably harvested palm oils, we have decided that using palm oils, in general, increases the demand of palm oils and we would rather avoid them completely. There are other wonderful hard oils, such as babasu oil, cocoa and shea butters that provide the same hardness and still achieve amazing results.

Do you ship?

We sure do!
